I'm Duncan, an aspiring games programmer who excels at solving problems . My love for video games dates back to the days of the Commodore 64 and Atari 7800 playing the likes of Booty and Food Fight on the family consoles. I was so taken with video games I remember helping my dad with his work when I was 7 to save enough money to buy my very own Sega Mega Drive.
After completing my A levels in 2004 I entered the finance industry where I held several roles of increasing responsibility and scope. In these roles I excelled at resolving complex queries while promoting a healthy team environment through use of peer mentoring and interpersonal skills. Eventually I found that I was not enjoying my work and made the major decision to return to education when I enrolled in a Games Programming course at Bournemouth University. I am now currently in my second year of the course and loving every minute of it.
Going forward I strive to constantly push myself to develop my abilities and become a part of creating highly polished, thoroughly enjoyable games.
While video games are a massive part of my life I also pursue a number of other interests in my spare time, such as watching animé, reading (mainly fantasy), baking and playing board games with friends. To stay healthy I enjoy playing squash and badminton and love a game of paintball.
